  • Is Active Portfolio Systems Right For Me?

Is Active Portfolio Systems Right For Me?

Some people see investing as a gambling event. They love the thrill of the hunt, the excitement of playing the game. The adrenaline high of a winning trade is their opioid. They invest on recommendations from their broker, a tip from a colleague at work, a magazine article. Some trades are great, many are not.

If this is your investment approach, this investment service is not for you.

Who is it for? Scroll down to learn more.

A second type of investor tries to do it all themselves. But it can be a daunting task. For every advice that says buy a given security, there is a counterpoint that urges you to sell. And over 90% of brokerage recommendations are to buy with little or no follow up as when to sell.

If you are overwhelmed by investing or just don’t have the time you need to spend, if a losing trade is emotionally devistating, if you don’t have a specific trading plan that has stood the test of time, then this investment service may be just the thing for you.

Active Portfolio Systems is first and foremost an investment service that will show you specifically what a robust trading approach is. In fact, there are multiple comprehensive trading systems designed for investors at various stages of their lives and with different account sizes, risk tolerances and trading sensibilities.

Some systems trade infrequently, some trade more on a monthly time scale. But, you do not have to be glued to your computer or the Wall Street Journal. We notify you when an investment model signals that a change needs be made.

The concept is to free you up to do the other things in life that are important to you.

If your are intrigued and want to learn more, simply register using your email address by clicking here. You will be taken to the free registration page and given two simple, basic trading approaches that balance investment gains and safety.

SMID 5 Bar Charts

401K Equity

401K Equity

The top chart compares, in bar graph form, the Yearly % Profit on the S&P 500 in green and the 401k trading system in red. At the right hand side of the graph is a summary of the compounded annual return for each system over the period shown in the graph.

The second chart is similar to the first except that it displays the Yearly % daily Max Drawdown. One use of this chart is to simply scan across the years and see the typical year by year maximum daily drawdown that can be expected to be experienced. Also, you can see the magnitude of a black swan drawdown that occasionally can happen (e.g., 2008).
