Here are the relative rankings of the various components of the generalized 401k offerings. Some of these items may not be in your particular plan but you can easily match your plan’s offerings with those on the list.
Table Interpretation
Column 1 defines the action the investor should take. Close means sell the position. Open indicates that this position should be opened or bought. Hold says that the investor should continue to be in the position for another month.
Column 2 shows the Entry Date which is the date when the position was first bought.
Column 3 shows the Exit Date or the date the position was sold.
Column 4 indicates the Sector that the row is referring to.
Column 5 tells the % Equity Target or what percent of your portfolio the Sector should be invested in.
Finally, at the bottom of the table is the Action Date which records the date that any actions shown in the table above were recommended to be taken.
